About Puriya
Puriya makes plant-based skin care and describes its formulas as plant-based and physician formulated. Its range is organized into three groups on its own site: antifungal, eczema and sensitive skin, and scalp and hair. The co-founders tell the brand's story as one that began with the botanical formulas they grew up with in Taiwan, and with wanting something similar after moving to the United States.
Tea tree oil runs through much of the range. It appears in the antifungal balm, in a tea tree body wash, and in a shampoo and conditioner made with tea tree oil, arnica, sage and rosemary. The Puriya Antifungal Balm we reviewed pairs zinc undecylenate 10%, an OTC antifungal active, with a base of plant oils that includes tea tree and eucalyptus oils.
