About Compex
Compex began in 1986, when the industrial electronics group ABB-BCC Secheron created a subsidiary, MediCompex SA, in Geneva, Switzerland. The first Computerised Muscle Pocket Exerciser, the original Compex, followed in 1988. Today the brand is part of Enovis (the medical technology company that also owns Chattanooga and DonJoy), and its portable EMS muscle stimulators are aimed at athletes, coaches, trainers and healthcare professionals. In 2026 Compex renewed its partnership with endurance athlete Kilian Jornet to support the launch of its new Ultimate EMS range.
In our EMS coverage, the Compex Performance 3.0 Muscle Stimulator with TENS Kit stood out as the most professionally credentialed EMS brand available on Amazon. It combines an 8-hour rechargeable battery, a water-resistant silicone sleeve, and training programs structured for progressive muscle loading over a training cycle, with intensity adjustable up to 999 levels for fine control as an athlete builds tolerance.
